Assalamu Alaykum (Peace be upon you).

🙏 Zikir: Remembering Allah

Zikir (or Dhikr) means “remembrance of Allah” . It is a simple but very important act in Islam. It means saying phrases like:Subhan’Allah (Glory be to Allah Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah)Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah)

From the Quran and Hadith

The Quran tells us to remember Allah often.Allah says, “Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction” (Quran, 13:28).This means Zikir brings peace to your heart.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the people who remember Allah and those who don’t are like the living and the dead. He also said that when people gather to remember Allah, angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to the angels (Hadith, Muslim).

🤝 Sitting with the Pious (Aulia Allah)

It is important to choose good friends and sit with people who are devoted to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave an example: a good companion is like a perfume seller—you will get some perfume or at least smell a nice scent. A bad companion is like a blacksmith—he might burn your clothes or you will get a bad smell (Hadith, Bukhari and Muslim).

Sufi scholars, like Imam al-Ghazali, teach that being with pious people helps you remember Allah and become a better person. Their good actions and words remind you of your purpose in life, which is to please Allah. This companionship helps clean and train your heart.

In summary, doing Zikir often gives your heart peace, and sitting with good people helps you stay on the right path and grow closer to Allah.
